The Gallery Photogroup

Our membership is open to people of all ages.  It includes those who make a living from photography, experienced amateurs and beginners who want to learn more about their hobby.

Most of our members use digital cameras and computer technology to print their pictures.  Some use film for colour slides or to make pictures in a darkroom.  In short, we cater for people with a wide range of photographic interests. We all strive to make our best photograph our next one without losing sight of the friendships and fun we gain from it all.

We meet on Tuesday evenings from September to May at 7.30 pm in the Southlands Centre, Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough where secure car parking is available.  During June, July and August we meet on the first Tuesday of each month.

Members of the Gallery Photogroup have a common interest in photography.  We thoroughly enjoy sharing our interests with each other in a friendly way whilst at the same time being determined to improve our work.

Our programme includes a wide range of presentations by talented visitors and group members, competitions, visits and practical evenings where we share our skills to help everyone benefit from members’ expertise.

We are pleased to have Joe Cornish as our Honorary President.  Joe is one of the country’s foremost landscape photographers with a world-wide reputation.  We have all benefited greatly from his contribution to the Group and count him very much as a friend.

The Gallery Photogroup is a member of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation and is affiliated to The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, and The North Yorkshire and South Durham Photographic Association.
